Eagle Search is a powerful tool that allows you to search many of our databases at once, allowing you to easily find the perfect article for your assignment!
Tips for using Eagle Search:
Advanced Search
Take advantage of the Advanced Search tool to search more than one topic at once. This helps the system find the best scholarly resources that touches on all of the search terms you use. Be sure to play with the drop-down menu as well.
Research Starters
Eagle Search provides Research Starters for commonly search terms. These are valid encyclopedia entries that are able to give you a beginner's guide to a topic. This is a great place to start, and a great resource for citing more well known information on a topic.
Limit Your Search
Before you start browsing through your search results, check the filters at the top. You will want Full Text and Peer Reviewed (Scholarly) selected because these are the types of articles that your professor wants you to be using! Play with the other filters to help you pinpoint the articles that suit your needs.
Subject Filters
If you have a lot of search results, try using the Subject Filters (click All Filters under the search bar). Choose as many as you would like to help you find what you need.
