Awards and Honors

  • Asteroid 1990 DB officially renamed 5826 Bradstreet by the International Astronomical Union in October 2014.  The official citation reads: “5826 Bradstreet = 1990 DB; David Bradstreet (b. 1954), Chair of the Astronomy Department at Eastern University (St. Davids, PA), is recognized for his development of the Binary Maker Light-curve software.  He is also known for developing Spitz Full-Dome Curriculum planetarium course materials at Julia Fowler Planetarium in St. Davids.”
