Rapid ILL

Have you found a journal article that library does NOT have full-text access to? Don't worry! We can get it for you within 48 hrs. and have it delivered straight to your email. This service is called Rapid ILL. To use it, access the link below. Research just got easier!

Remember - when requesting an article, please make sure all the information boxes are filled in. The ISSN is most important! It is the mechanism that sends the request to a library who has the article.

RETURNING LIBRARY MATERIALS!!

How can you  return library materials you may still have? We are in the process of mailing out Prepaid UPS labels so that you can pack your books and send them back to us. Please look for the envelope in the mail soon!

For current students, faculty and staff:

If you would like to return materials that you are finished with, please email us at reference1777@eastern.edu and we will send you a prepaid label.

 

LOAN PERIODS EXTENDED AGAIN!

We are extending the loan period for materials you currently have out to August 31, 2020. Any fines incurred will be waived for materials until further notice.

While the building is not open, librarians are still available to assist you.

2.   You can continue to set up an Individual Consult for research questions here. One of us will contact you in order to assist.  We can also conduct a Zoom session to help with your research. (Zoom has screen sharing capabilities)

 

OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

We can offer residential mail servicWarner Library's books and media. Students, faculty and staff can request books or videos and the library will mail them to their homes. Return labels will be enclosed with your materials for easy return. 

How can you do exercise these options?

1.  Place a hold on a book from the library's catalog. (See this guide for more directions.)

2.  We will retrieve your materials and mail them to you or place them in front of the library for pickup. we will also send a follow up email to confirm your request and our actions.

 

OTHER INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW... 

  • We are extending due dates for print materials in our collection, including media.
  • If you  have books or media to return
    • You can pop them in the mail to Warner Library, 1300 Eagle Road St. Davids, PA. 19087
    • You can drop them off at our two drop off locations:
      • One is outside the entrance doors facing Walton Hall.
      • The other is outside the entrance door in HHC. There is a dropbox there.
  • We are working with our partner libraries for Interlibrary Loan. AT THIS TIME EZ Borrow is not available. 
    • You will not be fined for overdue materials.
    • If you can drop off your EZ Borrow books or mail them to Warner Library, that would be great.
  • Rapid ILL for articles is still running and we can monitor this and make sure you get articles you request
  • Databases are always accessible to you. Simple click on one and plug in your user name and password.
