One Button Studio FAQs

FAQs

Where is the One Button Studio located?

The One Button Studio (OBS) is located in Warner Memorial Library on the upper level in Room 333. It is located at the back of the stacks as you turn left entering the upper level from the stairs. If using the elevator, proceed straight to the rear of the building. It is in the far right corner.

How do I Reserve the OBS?

There are two ways to reserve the space:

  • You can access the calendar from the landing page of Warner Library's website. It has its own button.
  • You can also stop by the Information Desk and speak to someone or contact the library via email (reference1777@eastern.edu) or by calling 610-341-1777.

Are there any restrictions?

  • No food or drink is allowed in the room.
  • Please do not handle the equipment. It is preset. If you are having issues, please go to the Information Desk and we will help you.

How much space will the MP4 file(s) take up on the USB flash drive?

USB drive sizes vary, but typically, 1GB roughly equals 25 minutes of recording time. We highly recommend using at least a 1GB USB drive in the One Button Studio -- preferably 3GB.

I am receiving a "Drive format not supported..." error. What do I do?

You must reformat the flashdrive. Flash drives must be formatted as FAT32 in order to be used with the One Button Studio. Other formats will not work.

I forgot my flashdrive.

You can borrow a flashdrive from the Information Desk on the main level of the Library. Please transfer the recording to your device and remove the file from the flashdrive before returning it to the Information Desk.

I created a OBS video...now what?

The One Button Studio saves your newly produced video as mp4 file. You can share these videos immediately to YouTube or Vimeo. You can also upload it from your device to Brightspace course software. Also, you can import the file into a video editing software, such as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, or other tools. We also recommend editing software Shotcut. Here is a video for using this product. Video editing software is loading onto the desktop computer right outside the One Button Studio. However the library does not support the tool at this time.

I am having Technical difficulties using the OBS? What should I do?

Contact the Information Desk immediately. Either go to the desk or email / phone (reference1777@eastern.edu / 610-341-1777)
